Happy Holidays!
2009 was a banner year for the Museum, not least because we unveiled our “New Face in Andersonville,” a visually striking renovation of our façade and lobby that improved the building’s energy efficiency.
We also offered everything from meatball tastings to classes in crafts, dance, genealogy and Swedish language. Our temporary exhibits showcased contemporary Swedish art. Our permanent exhibit, “The Dream of America,” continued to remind us of our heritage. The Brunk Children’s Museum of Immigration brought joy and pride to thousands of children of all nationalities. And, the Kerstin Andersson Museum Store offered beautiful books, toys, Swedish glass, and other tempting merchandise.
As we begin the New Year we can expect to face new opportunities and challenges. We hope you’ll join us as we strive to create thoughtful, inspiring programs and build an even stronger, more vibrant institution.
