Special Events

The Swedish American Museum’s annual fundraising event is a night of fun and celebration of Swedish and Swedish-American heritage and culture, and it usually takes place in October or November.  A silent auction is held, and Museum guests are treated to a night of appreciation of the Museum’s mission and accomplishments, and particularly to celebrate our ties to the past and the present and our links to the future.

Past Annual Ball: Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011

The Swedish American Museum would like to thank all of our guests, sponsors, donors, advertisers, supporters, and committee members of Disco Ball, our annual ball, a wonderful evening!  Disco Ball was held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at the Michigan Shores Club in Wilmette, Ill.  We had a great time celebrating the Museum, our heritage, and honoring Dr. Gunnar Andersson, M.D., PhD., and hope our guests did too!
