The Museum is located at 5211 N. Clark St. in Andersonville, a traditionally Swedish area of Chicago’s north side. The entire community welcomes Swedish Americans and celebrates the Swedish holidays. Merchants and residents turn out for the very traditional Midsummer, Lucia and Christmas celebrations. Tourists visit the area continually to sample Swedish food, buy gifts, and visit the Museum.

Public Transportation: Clark Street CTA bus No. 22 and Foster Avenue bus No. 92 stop within 150 feet of the Museum Center. The CTA Red Line EL train stops at Berwyn.

Parking: The Museum has limited complimentary off-street parking in our lot a half block from the Museum at the corner of Ashland and Foster.  Street parking is also available on Clark Street using City Pay Boxes at $2.00/hour and free parking can often be found on neighboring streets, including Foster and Ashland.

Please note that currently our parking lot is closed. We apologize for any inconvenience.
