Swedish American Museum Admission rates are the following:
Admission to the Brunk Children’s Museum of Immigration is included with Swedish American Museum admission.
Free admission: second Tuesday of every month.
Special group rates are available. Contact the Museum at 773.728.8111 to reserve a time for your group.
The Museum is located at 5211 N. Clark St. in Andersonville, a traditionally Swedish area of Chicago’s north side. The entire community welcomes Swedish Americans and celebrates the Swedish holidays. Merchants and residents turn out for the very traditional Midsummer, Lucia and Christmas celebrations. Tourists visit the area continually to sample Swedish food, buy gifts, and visit the Museum.
Public Transportation: Clark Street CTA bus No. 22 and Foster Avenue bus No. 92 stop within 150 feet of the Museum Center. The CTA Red Line EL train stops at Berwyn.
Parking: The Museum has limited complimentary off-street parking in our lot a half block from the Museum at the corner of Ashland and Foster. Street parking is also available on Clark Street using City Pay Boxes at $2.00/hour and free parking can often be found on neighboring streets, including Foster and Ashland.
The Swedish American Museum, the Brunk Children’s Museum of Immigration, and the Kerstin Andersson Museum Store have extended hours for the holiday season. To view these hours, please check our website homepage starting in November.
School Tours can be scheduled with the Education Manager for Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – noon.
