Julgransljus (Chime Candles) and More by Liljeholmens

The Kerstin Andersson Museum Store is gearing up for the Holiday season with ljus (candles)!  A new shipment of stearin  Julgransljus (chime candles) have arrived in white and red.  Each package contains 15 candles and are priced at $8.95 each.  Also available are larger size stearin candles in red for $2.25 each, and white Kankalljus (dripless candles) for $2.50 each.

Post-Holiday Sale at the Museum Store

To celebrate the end of the holidays, the Museum Store is offering a 30% discount* on all things Christmas!  These items include tomtar, linens, ornaments and more.  While supplies last.  This is the best holiday sale of the year!

Chicago Swedes: They Spoke From the Heart by Lilly Setterdahl

lilly_setterdahl_bookSwedish-American author Lilly Setterdahl presents her popular non-fiction book, Chicago Swedes: They Spoke from the Heart, which includes 340 oral histories and 300 photos produced by her late husband, Lennart Setterdahl.  In it, she discusses the many accomplishments of Swedes in the area, personal stories and pictures of growing up Swedish in the city, the struggles many Swedish immigrants and relatives of immigrants faced in their new lives in the United States and Chicago, and more.
